Although this website may seem pretty straightforward for me (and for translators in general), we do use some jargon from time to time, and this may lead clients or other interested parties into some confusion.
First of all, there is one basic difference between translating and interpreting. Translation is a service provided in writing, whereas an interpreter works with spoken language. Interpretation may be simultaneous or consecutive (or may take yet other forms), depending on the situation. Although I specialize in written translations, interpreting assignments may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Other services provided
I also provide revisions, that is, analyses of
translations made by someone else and suggestions to improve it. I also do proofreading, that is, the analysis
of a final document (whether translated or not) and
the correction of any errors. Check my rates.
